Derrick is an independent multidisciplinary designer who has spent the past 15 years partnering with clients large and small, across industries and countries. His path runs through both agency and in-house leadership roles, including Creative Director & Partner at Literal Humans, a marketing agency in London, to Lead Designer at tech startup MeetEdgar, and Creative Strategist at eBay Inc., where he managed a cross-functional team. He began his career as a designer, then account lead, at a boutique branding agency, Innovation Protocol, in Los Angeles. He holds a B.A. in Public Relations & Communication Design from the University of Southern California, where he was awarded a Full Tuition Trustee Scholarship.
